Let’s delve into the interview details below!

Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your organization and the core values that drive your senior care services?

With a legacy rooted in a family of doctors, our presence in the healthcare industry in South Delhi spans over four decades. Over the past four years, we have expanded our commitment to patient care through our MSME registered Home Healthcare venture, successfully serving more than 2,500 patients to date.

Backed by a panel of over 400 skilled caregivers and nurses, we deliver personalised, high-quality healthcare services directly at our patients’ homes. Our approach is built on three foundational pillars that define who we are: Transparency, Compassion, and Proactiveness. These core values guide every interaction, ensuring that our patients receive care that is not only clinically sound but also empathetic and responsive to their evolving needs.

What inspired you to start or work in the senior care industry, and how has your journey evolved over the years?

The aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed a critical gap in the availability of trustworthy, personalised, and ethically driven home healthcare services—particularly for seniors. We observed that much of the industry remained fragmented and unregulated, often dominated by commission-based agents operating informal bureaus.

While a few corporate providers and hospital chains offer professional services, they often come at a steep cost, making them inaccessible to many families. This disparity inspired us to step in as a much-needed bridge—offering the reliability and professionalism of a corporate setup, combined with the empathy and affordability that families truly need.

What specific senior care services do you provide, and how do you ensure these meet the unique needs of elderly clients in India?

We offer a comprehensive range of senior care services at home, with a strong focus on Geriatric Care, Palliative Support, and Post-operative Recovery. These are delivered through our specialised nursing care categories, tailored to meet the diverse medical and emotional needs of elderly clients.

To ensure holistic and seamless care, we integrate multiple support services under one roof—including ICU-level medical equipment setups, physiotherapy, ECG and X-ray at home, and mobility assistance through automated solutions.

Our approach is highly personalised, taking into account not just the clinical requirements but also the cultural, emotional, and logistical aspects that are unique to elderly patients in India.

Trust is crucial in senior care. What measures do you take to build and maintain trust with your clients and their families?

Building and maintaining trust begins with the quality of our team. We follow a rigorous onboarding process for all caregivers and nurses, which includes multiple rounds of interviews, clinical skill assessments, and comprehensive training at our facility to ensure they meet our standards of care. Every staff member undergoes background verification, including police clearance, to ensure safety and credibility. A significant portion of our recruitment is referral-based, sourced through our trusted internal network—where reference checks are given the highest priority.

Beyond recruitment, we maintain open and transparent communication with families, provide regular updates on patient progress, and ensure prompt resolution of any concerns.

What are some of the biggest challenges your organization faces in delivering senior care, and how do you overcome them?

One of the primary challenges in home-based senior care is the lack of real-time, on-site supervision, unlike in a hospital or a facility setting. Since care is delivered in the patient’s home, remote monitoring of caregivers can be complex. To address this, we have a dedicated central team of senior nurses and caregiving supervisors who conduct regular field visits, audits, and check-ins with active clients to ensure quality and consistency of care.

Another significant challenge is the high attrition rate within the caregiver workforce, as the profession often lacks a long-term career trajectory. To overcome this, we focus on building a strong internal culture, offering continuous training, support, and incentives, while also relying on a well-established referral network to bring in committed and trusted professionals.

How is technology influencing your services, and what innovative approaches have you adopted to improve senior care?

We take a thoughtful approach to technology—leveraging it to enhance operations without overwhelming our elderly clients. Our focus is on using tech to ensure a smooth, professional, and transparent experience.

Key innovations include:

  • Automated billing and MIS reporting for paperless, accurate transactions.
  • Payroll management software for timely and transparent caregiver payments.
  • Real-time task force tracking using ride-hailing and logistics apps.
  • Marketing initiatives through Meta Business, Google Ads, GMB, and SEO to reach and educate families.

While tech remains in the background, it plays a vital role in helping us deliver efficient and reliable care. Visit us at Heiler Healthcare.in to learn more.

Can you share a memorable success story or impact example that highlights the difference your services have made in someone’s life?

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting many families, especially NRI clients whose elderly loved ones live alone in India. One of the most touching aspects of our work is the consistent feedback we receive—families expressing deep gratitude for the way we care for their loved ones “just like our own.”

There have been countless instances where patients and their families have shared heartfelt messages, recognizing not just the clinical support, but the emotional connection and compassion our caregivers bring. These moments reaffirm our belief that senior care goes beyond medical attention—it’s about restoring comfort, dignity, and a sense of family for those who need it most.

What advice would you give to families and caregivers who are seeking the right senior care support for their loved ones?

For families, always choose a registered and authorised care provider—ideally one with a doctor on board, as this ensures better training of the caregiving team and vetting of the treatment. Also, remember to treat caregivers with respect and kindness; they often become like extended family to your loved one.

To caregivers: approach your work with ‘Sewa Bhav’—serve with compassion and treat each patient as you would your own family. That spirit makes all the difference in senior care.
